It is the day that we wish our friends and family much happiness by presenting them with bouquets of Lily of the Valley!

So Sweet!!

Today is also a French National Holiday - Labor Day.

  1. How very nice, Jennifer! Thank you!

My earliest May Day memories are of being driven around my neighborhood by my mother (and/or father?) and leaving little handmade basket-pockets of flowers on the front door knobs of my best friends... I bet no one does that any more!!!!!

    1. Such a fun memory!! My aunt in NY also remembers delivering handmade baskets too. It's sad that this tradition has gone by the wayside in the States - Such a sweet gesture! What I loved about today in France is that the little bouquets are 1-3 euros each & so easy to purchase at every street corner! I love the smell of the Muguets! Thanks for comment - Come back and visit anytime!
